European Coalition for Israel is a unique grassroots movement, which is seeking to promote better relations between Europe and Israel through advocacy and education.

Launched in Brussels in 2003 as “a coalition of all the others,” meaning non-Jews, who felt it was their moral obligation to stand up for the Jewish people and the State of Israel in a time of threat. 

Our Initiatives

San Remo

On April 27, 2010, European Coalition for Israel hosted the 90th anniversary of the signing of the San Remo Resolution, which paved the way for the creation of the modern State of Israel. Since that date, we have continued to provide educational resources about the legal foundations of the State of Israel based on the San Remo Declaration of 1920 and the Mandate for Palestine of 1922.

Churches Against ­Antisemitism network

The campaign aims to keep alive the memory of the victims of the Holocaust, while raising awareness of the resurgence of antisemitism today. ICI and ECI are calling on local churches worldwide to adopt the IHRA definition on antisemitism as an expression of their commitment to stand against antisemitism.

ECI Young Adults

ECI endeavours to provide a training ground for young professionals and students interested in promoting the cause of Israel to the new generation. Over the years a group of young professionals has come together in various locations in Europe to share ideas and learn more about the Jewish state.

The European Report

Description

As the EU elections are approaching, the talk show panel discusses the bigger picture of EU-Israel relations, the situation in the Middle East and ECI’s latest European Parliament Israel vote ranking. Joining the program host Yossi Lempkowicz in the studio of the European Parliament in Brussels are Swedish MEP David Lega and ECI Founding Director Tomas Sandell.
