Pray & Vote 2019
Why is it important to Pray and Vote in the upcoming EU elections?
On May 23-26, 2019, all adult European citizens will have the opportunity to vote in the European Parliament elections, deciding which candidate will represent them in the 705 member strong parliament from 2019 to 2024.
The outcome of these elections will also determine who will be appointed as the leaders of the main European institutions in the next five years. These appointments include the leaders of the European Commission and the European Council, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, and the President of the European Parliament.
Together with government leaders and representatives from the EU member states, these EU leaders will then determine the policies and direction of the European Union over the next five years.
How will the European Union respond to the alarming rise of anti-Semitism in Europe?
How will the EU develop its trade relations with Israel?
On what side will the EU stand in the case of a future armed conflict between Israel and its enemies?
These are only a few of the many questions for which the answers will be decisive over next five years. This is a time for every Christian as a citizen of an EU member state to pray, get involved and vote. Your vote can make a difference.
On this webpage you will hear from respected leaders and opinion shapers on why it is important to pray and vote in the elections. We will also inform you where the various European parliamentary political party groups stand on issues related to Israel and anti-Semitism.
