Israel has been the subject of a concerted campaign to undermine the legitimacy of the State of Israel as a “Jewish” state. Increasingly, International law is often cited to support these claims.

In 2005, European Coalition for Israel initiated and hosted the first Holocaust Remembrance Day event in the European Parliament.  This event is today an official EU event under the patronage of the President of the European Parliament. Each year, we provide online educational resources to help faith communities and civil society organizations organize their own Holocaust Remembrance events.

On April 27, 2010, European Coalition for Israel hosted the 90th anniversary of the signing of the San Remo Resolution, which paved the way for the creation of the modern State of Israel. Since that date we have continued to provide educational resources about the legal foundations of the state of Israel based on the San Remo Declaration of 1920 and the Mandate for Palestine of 1922.
